Teddy asked me a question the other day… Doctor, why are my teeth turning yellow?
I thought I should do a brief study on what causes teeth discoloration.
First, there are two types of tooth stains; intrinsic and extrinsic.
In this particular case, I’ll look at one of the common causes of intrinsic stains.
No one likes to hear this but aging brings teeth discoloration.
As you get older, your teeth sometimes will start to look darker or more yellow than they did while you were younger.
Well, this is completely normal and natural. It doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong however for a lot of people it can cause some self-consciousness.
The best way to treat this is to whiten your teeth however, if it’s a major discoloration, you’d want to talk to a dentist about restoration options.
So, what’s the colour of your teeth??? Schedule an appointment today with one of our dentists.
